Food maybe good, but I am not so sure it is worthy for the long wait. Been waiting for more than a hour (from 12:45 pm to 2:25 pm no food). It was not so busy.. only one person working in the kitchen. Not recommend for “big party (>6 people)” guests. My wife’s omelette was cooked in a microwave in a hurry. Not good...
Not a bad place. The waffles are good
Took an hr to get a toasted english muffin with a schmear of cream cheese and less than fresh salmon, and was made to feel out of line for asking after 50 minutes of waiting
Nice quaint spot to visit and eat on a Saturday or Sunday drive. Homemade muffins and desserts among others.
Can't get enough of the Toymaker's unique take on Biscuits & Gravy. Everything about this place is charming and is a one of a kind experience.
Toymakers Cafe has been a go to destination for motorcycle riders for many yrs. Sadly they are closing on labor day of this yr. They will be missed 🙁
The food is consistently fresh and tasty, cashiers provides fantastic service. I love the cleanliness and vibes. Worth a try.
Very cozy and welcoming Great biker stop.
Favorite lunch stop while cruising the Litchfield county hills on my motorcycle. Unique!
Good place. Homey feel with great food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Awesome cinnamon butter waffle!
WARNING: If you are starving this is not the place to go. This place is very quaint, friendly and smells like an amazing breakfast. The unfortunate side to it all is the wait. Plates are made 1 at a time so expect to not eat together with the company you're with. Food is tasty but not worth the wait for me. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a local spot to check out if you're not in any rush.
I take my family to this place from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The cooking is very good, the staff is welcoming and the price is affordable. I enjoy eating in this place for a good dinner.
Loved it here, its quaint and homemade but. make sure you give. yourself plenty of time as it's homemade and therefore takes time but it's worth it.
Always a great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. Very mc friendly a big plus, family friendly as well
One of the best burgers I have ever had. Asiago cheese on a burger is amazing !
Banger platter and the cinnamon waffle is usual superb. The wait can be a bit long depending when you arrive. If they accepted credit cards I'd give them a 5 star.
I go here every weekend on my motorcycle, best place around! quaint, good food, good people, good conversations!
Cozy atmosphere with charming locals! Wish I tried the food, I enjoyed a yummy cup of coffee. I'll definitely go back!Came back and enjoyed some home cooking. It was delicious.
A cafe owned and operated by a motorcycle enthusiast. Great food and great wall art. They make an excellent cup of coffee.
Great local place to stop if you are in the area. Highly recommend the waffles.
Good , nice people you don't mind giving your money too. Best waffles ever.
Great food and local color.
Great place for bikes
Food is really good. People are surely very friendly and helpful. The place looks pretty old and historic but it's such a lovely place.
Word of mouth is how I discovered The Toy Maker, not sure I would have any other way. We ride from Rhode Island to grab a burger and it’s always worth it. Friendly owners and their food is high quality. Must check it out!
Annie and Greg are the best! Mind your social distancing so they can stay open for curbside!
The food was delicious. The Big Easy had so much flavor. It's a nice stop for bikers. Inside and outside dining. Gluten free waffles and cookies.
I ordered the Waffle Sandwich off the specials menu and it is definitely something that needs to become a regular menu item. Super great food and top notch service. I got to sit outside on the deck and enjoy my breakfast for dinner in this quaint little town
Great experience, even better food.
American and British comfort foods, great waffles and egg dishes. This is an unusual restaurant - a favorite of locals, motorcyclists, and Appalachian Trail hikers. Excellent tea served in proper British tea pots. Every meal is prepared one at a time, so if it is crowded the wait can be long, but you are bound to fall into conversation with the varied and friendly crowd. Outdoor and front porch seating available too. Prices are modest. One of my favorite stops when I am in Falls Village.
Awesome little cafe. They have coffee, pastry and breakfast items for sale. In the middle of the most beautiful greenery around. Worth the trip. The owner and his lovely family are simply Awesome!!!
Great destination or stop if your on a motorcycle but not necessary either.... good food with an English flair... nothing fancy but very good.
Fun environment. Interesting people to strike up conversations. Great breakfast and lunch. Try the Moroccan Chicken. Waffles are spectacular. Excellent cappuccino. Excellent baked goods too.
Fantastic spot for breakfast. English breakfast. Coffee and tea to go.
Not the place to go to if you’re starving, But if you’re looking for a good time great Atmosphere family-owned phenomenal food. I stop by this place every time I hike by on the Appalachian Trail✌️👍
Cinnamon butter waffles! 'nuff said.
Excellent ride to CT for great food at an awesome Cafe. Peanut butter and fluff on whole wheat bread, yummo. Thank you so much ❣️
Great atmosphere and great food! This place might be out of the way but if you're riding in the area you owe it to yourself to stop in for a great breakfast. Motorcyclist Friendly goes without saying.
Bikers place. Cozy. Simple. Tasty. Bring cash, check or barter. No plastic at this place
Worth the wait, cozy, fun bikers gathered on Sunday morning.
Greg and Annie do a great job. It's just Greg in the kitchen so it can be up to an hour for food. It's well worth it, their food is amazing and so is their coffee. While waiting grab a cup of coffee or a drink and a book and relax. Toymakers is a hidden gem in Northwest Connecticut. Must try items are the waffles and the burgers.
Always delicious
Very generous owners and delicious food/coffee
Walked in and ordered a cheeseburger, the woman taking my order said "that will be a 2 hour wait".I walked out. That was my first and last visit. There are many places up or down Rt..7 that you can get a great cheeseburger without the wait.
This place is absurd. They have no business being in the restaurant business. We waited an hour for our food (without being warned) and some people were told it would take two hours. TWO HOURS!! For egg sandwiches, grilled cheese, soups etc, nothing special, typical diner food. No apologies. They explain that they make one dish at a time. We had a good laugh, anyway...
Took 1.5 hrs to get our food. No explanation as to why by the wait staff offered.
Got a table right away but still a good wait for food. On weekends fugedaboutit crazy wait times. Food is super super. Worth the wait. Really great.
Perfect spot to have lunch either outdoors or indoors. The owners are incredibly nice and the food is delish!
The staff was incredibly friendly. The sweet potato waffles were terrific. The atmosphere is quaint and extremely informal. I would go back again anytime I was in the area.
